Laptop Battery Tips:
Our replacement ACER laptop batteries are usually lower in price and usually exceed the specifications of OEM ACER laptop batteries.
New ACER laptop battery comes not in a fully charged condition (normally 30% state of charge). You can use the battery in your laptop computer until the computer sends out a low battery power warning or the laptop shuts off itself; then, fully recharge the battery. It needs three to four discharge/charge cycles to achieve maximum capacity of the battery.
Detaching your main laptop battery from your laptop will increase your laptop's battery life up to 50%.
Our experience and testing show that even when your laptop ac adapter is plugged in your computer and your battery is fully charged,
the laptop will still use the laptop battery resources in small increments. This will cause unnecessary charge cycles to your battery.
Since typical li-ion laptop batteries have about 380 charge cycles, having a fully charged battery inserted will put unnecessary charge cycles.
The downside to removing your laptop battery maybe a loss of power when the ac adapter is accidentally unplugged or when there is a power outage.
Do not store the ACER laptop battery completely discharged. A 50% charge is optimum for storage. Self-discharge on a depleted battery may trigger the built-in protection circuit which will hold back a recharge.
